Labor Day Weekend typically signals the last hurrah of summer as families finish vacations and kids head back to school. This year, enjoy summer’s grand finale at Cincinnati Bass Pro Shops during their Labor Day Hometown Festival. This fun, free family event occurs Saturday and Sunday, September 1st and 2nd from noon to 5pm.
Festival activities include product demonstrations and outdoor seminars the whole family can enjoy. There’s still plenty of summer left to cook out so freshen up your grillin’ techniques and learn all about smokin’ on the grill Saturday at 1pm and Sundays at 3pm during the “Smokin’ and Grillin’ Techniques” seminar. Late summer and early fall are great for fishing so learn some new fishing tips Saturday at 3pm and Sunday at 1pm during the “Power vs. Finesse Fishing” seminar. At 2pm and 4pm each day, sit back and enjoy the new fall apparel during the Apparel Fashion Show. See what’s new in clothing and accessories for casual wear, a weekend getaway or a more successful day afield. View selections from right there in the store.
Don’t miss the Free Food Sampling featuring tasty Bass Pro Shops Uncle Buck’s food products. Enjoy samples that could include fried fish, cobblers, pancakes, salsa, jerky and more. Also, free hot dogs will be available from 1-3 pm both days.
Kids can enjoy activities such as the Net a Fish Pond Game, Metal Detector Treasure Hunt, try their hand at Casting Buckets or enjoy the Bean Bag Toss. If they complete all four activities they get a spin at the Prize Wheel (while supplies last.)
Other fun kids’ activities offered Saturday and Sunday include face painting, a leaf craft and coloring pages (while supplies last). Families can also register at the store to win one of three $25 gift cards that will be given away daily.
