Please join us for a social hour featuring members from the Montezuma Wildlife Preserve and New York State Parks and Recreation. They will be here to answer any questions you may have on planning that family vacation in the outdoors. Find the park that best fits the age group going, as well as which hiking trail is short or long to accommodate any family member.
You can spend a lot on a hotel room this summer, or you can rent a cabin, campsite, RV and travel to a State Park. New York State has so much to offer, and lets face it this past winter was a tough one. Can't afford to take a vacation? How about some hiking? From Montezuma Wildlife to any one of the State parks, they offer you a wide range of activities.
Close by is Montezuma Wildlife Preserve. Operated by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The preserve is designated as a national natural landmark. It is one of the best examples of undisturbed swamp woodlands. With over 240 species of birds on the refuge along with 43 species of mammals, 15 species of reptiles and 16 species of amphibians. This will keep any child busy looking for them all. Canoe or hike, look for the Bald Eagles or Osprey, or go to the observation deck. You wont be disappointed with the fun you can have.
New York State has absolutely the most beautiful parks that give you a large variety of fun. With 113 state campgrounds, you can work your vacation around your family's needs. Do you want to swim in a waterfall, tent, RV, rent a cabin? How about hike a gorge with 200' cliffs and 19 waterfalls. We have it here in New York State. So please join us on April 25th from 6-7pm for a social hour with Montezuma Wildlife Preserve and New York State Parks and Recreation as they show you how to vacation without spending a bundle. Enjoy some snacks for the trail as well as Coco-Cola Life products. The first 100 people to attend the social hour will receive a bottle opener.
